Sales Representative "Master and Commander"

SALES REPRESENTATIVE “MASTER AND COMMANDER”

The Master and Commander sits at the bow and “hauls in the catch” by selling cutting-edge digital marketing products and services to a wide range of small and medium sized businesses. As Master and Commander, you will be responsible for generating your own book of (B2B) business and for managing both inbound and outbound sales contacts utilizing traditional prospecting techniques along with our own proprietary inbound marketing system.  You will be successful by providing your prospects with a clear understanding of our unique Market Leadership System – one that grows market leaders. You will appropriately set customer expectations, and employ a consultative approach to all sales opportunities. As a successful Big Fish Results Master and Commander, there will be no more talking about “the one that got away.”

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and contact potential customers
  • Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
  • Create sales material to present to customers
  • Maintain weekly and monthly sales quota
  • Convert leads that originate from Big Fish Results’ inbound marketing
  • Create opportunities from networking (online and events), trade shows, marketing automation campaigns, cold calls, and from your sheer sales intuition, drive and determination
  • Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
  • Accurately and timely update prospect and opportunity information in our own CRM
  • Follow sales processes and procedures effectively and efficiently and relentlessly drive opportunities to close

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proven track record at generating and winning new business
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written across a broad spectrum of market segments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Docs/Apps and at least one year working in a commercial CRM system
  • Minimum three years related experience selling technology related services and/or products to small businesses preferred
  • Knowledge of contemporary digital (online) marketing technology preferred

Digital Marketing Deckhand

DIGITAL MARKETING DECKHAND

The Digital Marketing Deckhand works closely with the Client Advocate, First Mate and the rest of the Big Fish team to implement, execute and report online marketing campaigns that drive results. Primary responsibilities include assisting each First Mate in managing campaigns on an ongoing basis to maximize results, maintaining project timelines and improving the Big Fish Results digital marketing system.

We will help you at every port, but you will often be spinning multiple plates at once; day-to-day responsibilities include updating the crew on the status of campaigns, ensuring that deliverables are on time and assisting team members in the execution of campaigns.

As the main point of contact for our clients you are responsible for turning Big fish Results clients into raving fans!  The Client Advocate is responsible for building client relationships, communicating expectations and reporting results across multiple products and services.  As a Steward, they work closely with the Big Fish crew to ensure that each campaign is delivered on time and within budget by managing the delivery of our digital marketing system.

Job Description

The First Mate manages a small team and works closely with the rest of the Big Fish team to develop a Market Leadership Strategy and to execute and report on client digital marketing campaigns that drive results. Primary responsibilities include managing online marketing campaigns on an ongoing basis to maximize client results, maintaining project timelines and making improvements to our overall digital marketing process. The First Mate is also responsible for helping to establish client expectations, maintaining our quality standards and ensuring that campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.

Often casting many rods at a time, typical responsibilities include strategic development of complex marketing plans, reporting analytical data across multiple products and services and excellent communication of expectations, deliverables and results.

  • Build the Operations team – managing, motivating, and mentoring the department staff in the development and execution of online marketing initiatives.

  • Proven experience managing a growth-oriented digital marketing staff
  • Google Certifications preferred
